Between soul, 90's hip-hop and poetry, Woodi talks ear to ear to the one who chooses to listen to them. One enters then in a bubble of nostalgia and hopes, soaked with atmospheres as bright as they’re abyssal. Their red wire is the groove. Like a beating heart, it keeps us on our toes, makes our head move and takes our guts.


Based in Fribourg, the project was initiated in 2018 by Margie Clément, a self-taught singer-songwriter. It is the discovery of artists such as Lauryn Hill, Greta Peeng or Akua Naru that inspires her when it comes to the possibility of linking two disciplines, rap and singing, in a single entity. As she meets new people, she composes with Daniel Hernandez, a pianist and beatmaker who has been captivated by composers such as Alfa Mist, Robert Glasper or Kaytranada. His classical and jazz formations, as well as his numerous stage performances, shape his identity; a particularly versatile artist who knows how to transmit a fine and authentic sensitivity through each of his creations.
